It doesn’t matter if you pick the male or female character, it doesn’t affect any romances or trophies (just changes some dialogues and cutscenes). There are no difficulty-related trophies. It’s worth noting that the gender you pick and dialogue choices you make don’t impact trophies and won’t lock you out of anything. There are 5 Questlines tied to trophies, 4 World Bosses, 42 Cultists to kill, 10 Mercenary Tiers to rank Up, 5 Arena Matches, 20 Side Quests for a Gold Trophy, 20 Message Board Contracts, reaching Level 50, fully upgrading the Ship, and some miscellaneous tasks. There is technically one missable trophy “Aphrodite’s Embrace” for sleeping with a character but there are many opportunities for it. Just the 42 underwater locations need to be completed.
